Well it might have been a shorter week in school, but wow it has been an action packed one! The MAD (Music and Dance Festival has been a huge success. I hope you child came home full of information on what they have experienced each day and that you were able to join our celebration of learning and hear a song from the opera, The Magic Flute.
A massive thank you to our music lead Mrs Taekema and our PE lead Mrs Smith, who have created and planned this spectacular 3 day event.
All the teaching staff have really embraced the festival and been teaching glockenspiels, song writing and recording, music makers and shakers, digital music, maypole dancing and ukulele's.
We have been really lucky to have other experts in school this week too; Claire Honey teaching bongo, samba and African drumming, Liz England from fit2 dance teaching street dancing and Miss Nicola from Tiny Toes teaching ballet.
Well done everyone - the school has been alive with music, singing, dancing and creating! Photos will follow soon on social media and tapestry.
