This week we have welcomed the new reception children for their first taste of big school. Well done to all the parents and carers in saying goodbye on the first day without too many tears! It really is a big milestone in a young child's life. We are very proud of the reception children and I am sure you are too.
Year 1 and 2 have also continued to settle into their new routines and I have seen lots of happy, smiling faces as I visit classrooms and help with lunches. Thank you for attending the year 1 and 2 welcome meetings it was lovely to see lots of parents. If you were not able to attend, you will find the powerpoints used on the year 1 and year 2 learning pages.
Home school agreement
Our home school agreement has been emailed to you. This has also been provided as a paper copy for new reception parents. We value our strong partnership with parents and to help support this, we have 3 simple school rules that the children know and understand. These link with ourBehaviour Policy and Rules Matter.
Please take the time to read the Home School Agreement and share it with your child. Your child will already be familiar with our ‘ways to help me learn’ and will be able to tell you about them. As a parent of a child at Telford Infant School we assume that you freely commit to this agreement. However, if you feel you cannot support it please email school to discuss your concerns.
Free school meals
Please read the letter sent to your email if you think your child may be eligible for free school meals, as the extra funding into school will provide your child with so much more!
