What an amazing turn out to our year 1 and 2 OPAL event last week - I hope that you found this informative and enjoyed playing with the resources alongside your children. As Rachel our OPAL mentor said, we are always looking for loose parts and other resources including;
planks of wood (that are sanded down to avoid splinters)
Road signs (legitimately obtained!)
Metal kitchen pots, pans, spoons, ladels etc (not crockery as this gets broken)
dressing up clothes (hats, scarfs, jazzy shirts, waistcoats, wedding outfits character costumes)
large cable drums
camping/yoga mats
noodles (the type you use for swimming)
Our Amazon wish list also has a number of items used for OPAL that we get through really quickly, such as bubbles and chalk. Thank you in advance!
Remembrance day
Year 2 led a respectful and informative assembly for Remembrance day. Lots of information was shared and we were joined by Reverend William and Cerys from St Mary Magdalene's Church. The children all joined in two lovely songs and respected a minute silence. I hope you too found time to honour this tradition.
PTA update
Our amazing PTA have been working extremely hard behind the scenes getting ready for our Winter Wonderland evening on 5th December. We have teamed up with Complete Estate Agents to raise funds for this event and your help is needed! All you need to do is agree to have a Complete estate agent board promoting our event outside your home for around 3 - 4 weeks. Each board = £25 donation to Telford Infant PTA (up to £1,075 total!)
Boards will go up around 21st November, and spaces are limited to 43 homes - so sign up soon!
Thank you for your support!
Lost property
We are beginning to amass a lot of lost property again. This is put out at the front of school (under the porch area) every Friday for parents to look through and the lost property basket is available whenever the office is open. To help reduce losses, please name everything. If you have preloved uniform, please take any old names out and put your child's name in. Please name football boots, glasses cases, water bottles - everything!
We have lots of spare clothes in school for when children have accidents and need changing but we do not have any socks. Therefore, if you have any old socks that you are willing to donate - ages 4-7 we would really appreciate it.
Don't forgot to book your Grandparents glitter day space - booking opens today.
