Brrrrrrrr you can really tell the summer has officially ended and Autumn is here. With that in mind please ensure that your child has a coat in school so that they can still learn and play outside when it is cold and rainy. Don't forget that if your year 1 or 2 child wishes to use the field at lunchtime, they must have a named pair of wellies in school.
This week Lily the therapy dog has been back in school to spend time with the children. The reception children all got the opportunity to meet her for the first time, and as usual, she was a big hit.
National TA day
Today is National TA day which gives recognition to the hard work and dedication TAs give every day. We are very lucky here at Telford Infants to have a dedicated team who always put the children at the heart of everything they do. We treated them to a special breakfast and paper flower bouquets made by the children.
Poetry day
Next week on Thursday Spoz the Poet is back in school to help us celebrate poetry day. Please refer to the poster that was sent out last week if you would like to order his poetry collection for your child.
Photograph day
Friday 3rd October is individual photo day. Please ensure your child is looking super smart in their uniform and has long hair tied up with appropriate hair accessories that meet our uniform policy.
Governor elections
Please remember to vote in the parent governor elections! The parent governor post represents your views. Voting closes at 10am on 3rd October.
PTA
Our first PTA meeting of the year was well attended and the team are buzzing with ideas to engage with you, provide a range of experiences for the children and help the school raise money. Your class rep will be in touch soon to let you know how you can support (however small) with this. Please also see our PTA web page.
Mrs Hunjan
I have to pass on the very sad news that Mrs Hunjan, a midday supervisor, who left our school two years ago, after a long service of 16 years, has passed away. We will remember the support she gave to so many children during her time here and our thoughts are with her family and friends.
