School meals, milk and fruit

SCHOOL MEALS

Our wonderful kitchen team, from Miquill, prepare delicious and nutritious school lunches on site every school day. 

Our lunches are free for all infant children under the Universal Free School Meals Scheme (UFSM). 

Using the Swift Kitchen app, parents can order their child's meal for the day/week/term.   The choice includes a meat based meal, a vegetarian based meal, a jacket potato, pasta and sauce or a sandwich. Children are provided with fresh water to drink with their lunch.

MIquill cater for children with allergies and those who follow vegetarian or vegan diets. Please contact the school office should you require further details.

Alternatively parents may wish to provide their child with packed lunch. Packed lunches must be healthy and not contain nuts or strawberries (due to allergies) or chocolate or fizzy drinks (to meet healthy food standards).

If parents wish their child to change from school meals to packed lunches, or vice versa, they should speak to Miss Turner in the school office. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate changes less than a week in duration and we ask that children remain on either school meals or on packed lunches for a full school week (Monday to Friday) at a time.

Fruit is provided to school through the government fruit scheme.  Please do not send your child in with fruit or snacks unless this has has been agreed due to dietary or SEND needs with the SENCO.
