Welcome back from half term, and I hope you had time to rest. The children have come back raring to learn and have already started their new topics which are; light and dark in reception, all around me in year 1 and Victorians in year 2.
Please take the time to read the curriculum overviews for your child's year group which have been posted on tapestry under memos. This will help you to talk to your child about learning and help them at home with key skills that are being covered.
PE validation
Yesterday we were revaluated for the afPE Quality Mark. This involved an external inspection of our PE provision, school sport and physical activity which is expertly led by Mrs Smith. When we have the results of the inspection I will share them with you.
Children in Need
Next Friday (13th) is Children in Need and your child is invited to come to school wearing a spotty accessory in return for a donation of your choosing. Our school council will also be challenging the children to run 26 times on the day!
Celebration of learning
You are invited to celebration of learning today which is from 3pm - 3.20pm. This provides you with the opportunity to see your child's learning and classroom. We look forward to seeing you there.
Grandparent glitter day
Please read the letter you have been sent today on how to book a slot at our popular Grandparent Glitter day which is on Friday 27th November.
