Welcome to Telford Infant School
Parent Teacher Association

The PTA at Telford Infant School organises a range of fun activities for both the children and parents throughout the year. Of course, we hope to raise some money along the way that allows the school to provide extra resources for the children to enjoy! All parents, grandparents and carers are very warmly invited to become involved with our PTA.

We fund lots of fantastic ‘extras’ for the children including in the past couple of years:

  • Creating a new school library
  • Purchasing new interactive c-boards.
  • Providing 2 ipad trolleys with 60 ipads for the children to use across the school.
  • The creation of an amazing Outdoor Garden Area.
  • Buying every new child a Telford Infant School book bag
  • Treating our Year 2 children to a Leavers’ Disco and giving them a special leavers’ present
  • Purchasing lots of new exciting resources: Numicon Maths resources, new musical instruments, a new cooker and cooking equipment, outdoor equipment in Reception.

Our biggest events are the Sponsored Bounce and Winter Wonderland at Christmas. These events raise a considerable amount of money thanks to the hard work from our parent helpers and teachers.

If you would like to get  involved then please do get in touch. Either leave your details at the school office and someone will get back to you or email us:
pta.telfordinfants@gmail.com

Details of events can also be found on our website: https://telfordinfantschoolpta.zero-waste.org.uk/

WHAT ARE WE FUNDRAISING FOR THIS YEAR?

This year we raising money to revamp the wooded area next to the back playground.  The school would like to provide new resources in this area, in line with the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) initiative by installing a large sand pit, seating areas and other facilities.  This will not only repurpose this area but expand the back playground.

Telford Infant School PTA is now on Social Media

FACEBOOK Our events wouldn’t run without the help of our willing parents. You can help as little or as much as you like so please join our Facebook Helpers’ Group to find out more.

FUNDRAISING
As seen recently in the news, school budgets are now under a huge strain, making it difficult to buy the physical resources needed for your children. We rely on a range of fundraising activities to raise additional funds for the school that can be spent on these resources and help supplement our decreasing budget.

Telford Infant PTA are very grateful for all your support and as well as joining in the events we arrange throughout the year there are a number of ways too that you can help us raise funds.

TELFORD TOP UP
Telford Top-up is a scheme that invites parents, carers, grandparents and anyone else in our school community to provide a regular contribution to the school. Payments can be made through one-off donations or through regular giving – and for every pound you give we get an extra 25% with Gift Aid.
  1. The scheme will guarantee a regular income, allowing the school to continue providing a rich and varied curriculum for our children.
  2. By signing up to Gift Aid, we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate – making the Tax Man work a little harder!
  3. It provides an alternative opportunity for parents and carers to contribute to the school, even if a lack of time prevents involvement in other fundraising activities.

It’s really easy to sign up... find out more:

Amazon Wish List  - revamped for 2025!

Throughout the year we always need lots of different resources to make our learning the very best it can be. The cost of these add up and many of you often ask how you can help.

Our Amazon wish list is available for those interested in adding an item for the school to your own Amazon orders. This list will change throughout the year, so check back often if you’d like to send the children of Telford Infant School a gift – orders can be mailed directly to the school.

We are extremely grateful for anything you might be able to purchase for us – however small.

EASY FUNDRAISING
Do you shop online? Did you know that every time you buy something you could be raising money for Telford Infant School?
Shop with any of over 3000 well known retailers listed on easyfundraising.org.uk and a percentage of what you spend is passed onto Telford Infant School at no additional cost to you. Retailers include Amazon, M&S, Boden, eBay, Tesco, Boots, Gap and many, many more.

MATCH FUNDING
If you work for a company that offers a Match Funding programme you may be able to help donate hundreds of pounds to our school without any cost to you! Match Funding is when companies offer to ‘match’ funds raised, pound for pound up to a certain amount, by charitable organisations such as Telford Infants PTA. The government actively encourages businesses to donate to charity by giving them tax relief on their donations. Lots of companies will match any fundraising event that their employees are involved in.
Please either get in touch with our PTA direct or contact the school office if you think you can help us!
