Head's message

Reception parents - what a treat to see your children performing their nativities in school for the first time.  I am sure you will agree that the children were absolutely amazing and should be really proud of themselves. A big thank you to you for helping your child practise their lines and provide them with costumes.  And a huge thank you to the Telford team for once again putting lots of time and effort into getting the best out of the children to produce a memorable performance.

All year groups are eagerly awaiting their Christmas party later on today and I am sure they will report back later about the exciting things that have happened.

Dates

Please remember today is the last day of term. School reopens for children on Tuesday 6th January.

Essential dates for the full academic year are on our calendar pages so please check these out.

Key events happening in the Spring term include;

23rd January 2 - 3.20pm Family support team drop in coffee session in our school hall- this is an opportunity to have your parenting questions answered by the Family Information Service and find out more about what support they can offer families.   Email ehparenttrainers@warwickshire.gov.uk to book a space (see flyer sent with your email).

3rd Feb 6.30pm - 8pm Smart phone free childhood presentation at Telford Junior School - all infant parents are invited to attend as the two schools have joined together to promote this. Details of how to book a place will be sent out after Christmas  - but please hold the date. (see flyer sent with your email).

School clubs

Please don't forget to book into our after school clubs – all the information you need can be found here.

Lost Property

Anything not collected today will be recycled or repurposed - please come to the front of school to look at the lost property all of which is unnamed.

Staff car park

A polite reminder that the school car park is for staff only and must not be used by parents/carers as they drop off children for breakfast club, or collect from Smiles or other after school clubs.  Thank you.

Thank you's

Thank you again for a very successful first term of this academic year.  The children have achieved some truly amazing things and I am sure they (and you) are ready for a well deserved break.

I would like to thank the amazing Telford team of staff for creating amazing memories for the children this term and ensuring that they are happy and safe in school, loving learning.  I know that they are going to enjoy their Christmas break too.

Our governors have also passed on their thanks and their letter to you is attached to your email.   I would like to thank them for their dedication to Telford Infants which is an essential part of the leadership of the school.

Have fun over the holiday period, try and rest and take a moment when you can and we will see you back for the start of the Spring term on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Ms Roberts
