Head's Message

Well done to everyone for reaching the end of the first term in school.  This is a milestone for the children, whichever year group they are in, as they have settled into their new classes (and yes it also a milestone for parents and staff too!).   Thank you for attending your child's learning review this week.  I hope these provided you with information on their wellbeing and progress in school.  Please remember we are always here to answer any queries or concerns you may have, not just at learning reviews, so if you need to speak to your child's class teacher please ask them directly or email admin2326@welearn365.com and we can arrange a face to face meeting or phone call.

School choir

On Tuesday this week, Mrs Taekema and I took 12 year 2 choir members to St Mark's church to take part in the North Leamington Schools Cluster Singing Festival.   All the different school choirs sang a selection of songs together and learnt to sing in a round with others.  Our choir, expertly led by Mrs Taekema, sang an individual song at the front of the church, beautifully and with confidence.  This was a huge achievement as all the other children taking part where much older and our choir was selected to go first!  Mrs Taekema has put a video of the event on Tapestry for the parents of the children who took part to view.   Photos of the event are also on our Loving Learning pages.

Upcoming events - don't forget to regularly check our calendar!

Monday 3rd November - Design & Technology day - please send in junk modelling for this day

Tuesday 4th November - Understanding Children's Behaviour workshop  - book here - places are still available!

Wednesday 5th November - Year 2 learning visit to St John's Museum

Friday 7th November - OPAL information and play event for year 1 and 2 - book via eschools

Ticketed events

Thank you to our reception parents who were the test group for booking and showing tickets for a school event to gain entry into school.  From this we have learnt that if you install the eschools app on your phone, you can find your booking much quicker to show our team. This can be downloaded on your android phone here or in the app store on your apple phone.   Please do not use the eschool lite app (I do not know why there are two apps!).  Another top tip is to screen shot your booking onto your camera roll for quick retrieval when needed.

And finally..............

A massive thankyou from myself and the Warwick District Foodbank for the generous food donations that were brought in for harvest.  This really makes a difference to families living in poverty.

Don't forget PTA are selling cakes and treats after school today on the Junior School playground. All funds raised directly support your children in school.

Have a lovely half term, school starts again on Monday 3rd November with our exciting Design and Technology day.
