Here you can find out about the amazing things that have been happening in school this half term.  
 
Summer 1 2025
Week 1 - the children brought amazing weather back to school with them this week and got stuck in to their new summer topics. Reception are now joining year 1 and 2 on the field at lunchtimes and it is loving to see all the year groups playing together. 

Spring 2 2025
Week 1 - the children can come back to school ready to embrace the joys of Spring and better weather.  Reception took part in an archery session which they thoroughly enjoyed.  The whole school was treated to a visit from the children's author Jeanne Willis and took part in a best dressed teddy competition based on her book 'The Bear who had nothing to wear'.
Week 2 - We celebrated World Book Day.  The children came in a range of outfits along with their favourite book and have a lovely day filled with reading activities.
Week 5 -  All the children had the opportunity to learn how to play tennis this week, courtsey of Pillinger Tennis and Leamington Tennis and Squash Club.
Week 6 - The postponed Bird Man visit was a huge success as always.  The children were treated to an Eagle owl, a kookaburra (who was very noisy!), a tawny frog mouth and an African pigmy falcon.   
The children who are learning to be rock stars with Rock Steady treated their parents and the whole school to an amazing performance of the songs they have been learning this term.
Week 7 - Year 1 and reception children performed their Easter service at St Mary Magdalene's Church.

 Spring 1 2025
Week 1 - the children have settled back into their routines well and started their new topics for this half term.  Reception are learning what they might want to be when they grow up, year 1 are learning about space and year 2 are exploring the natural world around them. 
Week 2 - Lily the dog visited school again this week and spent listening to stories in the library with some children.  The children were really happy to see her again and remembered to be calm and quiet when spending time with her.
Week 3 - In reception the children learnt all about recycling and how important this is.  Year 1 Primrose class and Year 2  Turquoise class enjoyed a Forest Schools session.
Week 4 - We are had a fantastic treat on Friday afternoon when a string quartet came to school.  This was funded by the PTA and gave the children the opportunity to experience live music and ask questions about the instruments played which were a viola, 2 violins and a cello.
Week 5 - a busy week of amazing writing across school and lots of super star writing awards presented.
Week 6 - an action packed week with fencing for year 1 and 2, bird week across school, internet safety day and PTA pyjama parties. 
 
Autumn 2 2024
Week 1 - We celebrated Diwali the Sikh and Hindu Festival of Light.  The children came to school in traditional dress or bright coloured clothes and learnt about Rama and Sita and how this important time of year is celebrated.
Week 2 - Year 2 led a Remembrance Assembly and went on a trip to St John's Museum.  We had a special visit from a therapy dog called Lily and on Friday we wore something spotty for Children in Need.
Week 3 - All the children enjoyed the snow, putting on wellies and having fun with their friends! We have started practising for our upcoming Christmas performances. 
Week 4 - the highlight of this week has been Grandparents Glitter Day. All the children enjoyed making Christmas cards, calendars and decorations with their Grandparent or a borrowed one! 
Week 5 - this was a very special week for reception as they went to the Warwick Arts Centre to see the Smeds and the Smoos. 
Week 6 - Christmas has truly started at Telford Infants  - year 1 performed 'A little bird told me' and it was magical!   Year 2 sang beautiful carols in the church.  On Wednesday we had a lovely Christmas dinner.   Year 1 also took part in some tree planting on the back field which was the 2nd stage of our field development. Year 2 enjoyed a special Victorian day. 
Week 7 - Reception performed their nativities with confidence and smiles.                
 
Autumn 1 2024
Week 1 - we welcomed our year 2 and year 1 children back to school.
Week 2 - we welcomed our new reception children into school.
Week 3 - we welcomed William Smith, Vicar of Lillington and Old Milverton into school for an assembly.  Reception started their topic Super Me and made super hero capes.  Year 1 started learning about Terrific Trees and enjoyed exploring the Wishing Wood.  Year 2 have been reading The Day the Crayons  Quit and producing some fantastic letters from the crayons. 
Week 4 - We celebrated our amazing teaching assistants who show such care, support and dedication to the children each and every day. Your children made them some wonderful cards. 
Week 5 - This week we have celebrated National Poetry Day.  All the children have been busy reading and listening to poems, performing poems and writing poems.  Spoz the poet came to school to inspire our young poets and share his love of poetry.   The children enjoyed his fun poems and sense of humour, and together wrote songs and poems with him. 
Week 6 - We celebrated national library week and continued to introduce the children to our new school library, ensuring they understand the importance of looking after the books and returning them to the correct shelves.  
Week 7 - This week is all about our Harvest Celebrations at St Mary Magdalene's Church and at school. This is an important community event which helps the children experience and learn about caring for others.
Week 8 - parents came into school to speak with class teachers to find out how their children are progressing.  Reception investigated pumpkins and even exploded them in science!
