Head's Message

This week our choir represented the school by visiting the local Homewood care home.  Mrs Taekema our choir leader and Mrs Walsh accompanied the children, who sang beautifully and really impressed the care home residents.  Taking choir out in to the community has been part of our community engagement enrichment offer this year which we are really proud of. Well done choir, you are amazing!

Indigo Class represented our school at a cluster schools athletics competition at Kingsley School Sports Field.  They competed in different events such as throwing, running and long jump.  All our pupils showed fantastic sporting spirit throughout the event.

Consultation

Thank you for engaging with our consultation on academisation.  Our in person and online events took place this week. Our MS Form is open until 10th July so please take the time to complete this.

Diary dates

Tuesday 23rd June @ 6pm - new parents for reception 2026

Wednesday 24th June - stay and play for new parents and reception children 2026

Wednesday 24th June @ 3pm celebration of learning for all year groups - please enter through your child's external classroom door

Friday 26th June - Year 2 visit to Compton Verney

Vacancy

We are recruiting for a midday supervisor - this is great role for someone who is maybe looking to get back into work as the children are at school.  Please click here for further details. Ideally this position also has responsibility for setting up the hall with tables and chairs, and clearing down at the end of the shift.  However, if you are unable to do this but are interested in a midday role please contact us for a discussion

Sticky Questions

Reception: If you built yourself a palace, what would be in it?
Year 1: Do big, massive and ginormous all mean different things?
Year 2: Thinking about another member of your family, how are you the same and how are you different?

Have a lovely weekend.
Ms Roberts
