We have been blessed with the weather this week and the children have been able to get outside for their learning. Yesterday year 1 had the opportunity to take part in fencing lessons. They really enjoyed this opportunity and we are aiming to use some of our PE funding to buy fencing equipment (don't worry they are made out of foam!) to continue this into weekly PE lessons.
Today the year 1 children are at Mary Arden's Farm - thank you to everyone who has volunteered to support on the trip, they could not run without you. I am sure the children are having a fantastic time; class teachers will post photos from the trip on tapestry next week.
Support for a pedestrian crossing on Windmill Hill
Currently, there is not a safe crossing point on Windmill Hill and several near miss incidents have been reported to the police. The local community is pulling together to petition Cubbington Parish Council to install a crossing. A copy of the petition is available in the school office if you would like to sign it.
Swift Kitchen
If you know you child is going to be absent from school, it would really help the office if you can cancel your child's lunch order for that day via the Swift Kitchen app, otherwise we still get charged for it. If you are unable to do this, please let the office know when you call to report the absence. Thank you.
