Head's Message

Thank you for your support and patience this week as we have tried our absolute best to keep the children safe and cool in school.  In an unprecedented week of heat, the children have still enjoyed and engaged in their learning and been really sensible about listening to the grown ups and keeping themselves cool.  As the weather is set to drop back to sensible levels next week, we will return to normal hours and welcome all children back into school full time from Monday.  Please do not send your child in with a hand held fan from next week as (fingers crossed) they will not need it.

Smiles

Please see the letter below about the new way to book Smiles before and after school club places.  This has already been sent to existing and new Smiles parents, so apologies if you are receiving it again.

Moving up day

Wednesday 8th July is moving up day  - when children spend the day in their new September class.  At the end of the day parents of current reception and year 1 children are invited to meet the class teacher. This is very informal, once you collect your child from their usual classroom at 3.20pm you can walk around the outside of school to visit your child's new classroom - staff will be on hand if you are not sure where to go.  Learning that they have done that day will be on display and the teacher will be there for an informal hello.  Don't worry if you do not pick your child up at this time, we will be providing a meet the team flyer that your child will come home with that day so you have a photograph of all the teachers in the year group.

Year 2 children moving to the junior school will be staying for lunch and need to take a packed lunch from home or order one from our school kitchen team by emailing admin2326@welearn365.com by Friday 3rd July please. Please note the junior school also have a nut free policy and promote healthy food for packed lunches, so please follow this.
