THE DAY THE GUIDE DOGS CAME TO TELFORD INFANT SCHOOL!
We welcomed some very special visitors to school.
Claire and Wendy from Guide Dogs for the Blind brought guide dogs Minty (4 years old) and Archie (15 months old) to meet us. The dogs visited our Reception children in their classrooms and then behaved beautifully while Claire and Wendy taught Year 1 and 2 children lots of interesting facts about guide dogs in assembly.
Thank you very much for the generous donations you sent in for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
This charity is very close to our hearts at Telford Infants as when Mrs Burns and Mrs O’Donoghue left our school in July they sponsored a guide dog puppy for us! Our puppy is called Fletcher and we will share photographs and updates of his progress over the coming months.
Name: Fletcher
Breed: German shepherd/golden retriever cross
Favourite toy: key chew toy

Telford Infant School is committed to supporting the work of local, national and global charitable organisations. Each year a Charity Plan is drawn up and the children choose many of the activities undertaken.
We have a collection point in our main school entrance where families can drop off items for Warwick District Foodbank.
Each year we also donate our Harvest Collection to the Foodbank.
