I received an email recently from a past pupil, who attended Telford First and Middle schools (as they were known back then), leaving in 1996. David Williams is now an airline captain working in Bristol, and on a recent flight to Tenerife he was pleasantly surprised to find his colleague for the flight, Rob Payne, was also an ex Telford pupil! What a fantastic coincidence to happen! They enjoyed catching up on their fond memories of their time at both schools and wanted to reach out to share their story.
This legacy is what we are trying to achieve at Telford Infants, providing our children with great memorable experiences that stay with them. I sincerely hope that your children grow up with fond memories of their time with us and go onto fulfilling careers that they enjoy.

Dogs outside school
There was an incident yesterday on the driveway at the school gates involving two dogs, which resulted in one of the dogs getting bitten. Ideally we do not want you to leave your dog tied up without supervision, and ask that if you do walk your dog to school you aim to have another adult so that they can be supervised whilst you pick your child up. Your dog and their behaviour, is your responsibility and not the schools. Under no circumstances should dogs (unless it is a guide dog and the headteacher has been spoken to) be brought onto the school playgrounds (even if you are carrying them). We politely ask that you respect this request.
Next week Reception are going to Ryton Pools on Wednesday - please make sure you have read all the information previously sent out about this trip and your child arrives at school on time.
Friday 16th May is Bounce for Books - please keep collecting those sponsorships. The children are getting very excited about the event!
Thursday 22nd May - Sports day - we will keep an eye on the weather and inform parents on Wednesday 21st May if sports day needs to be postponed.
