As I write today's news the children are busy jumping up and down on the bouncy castle and will show you with pride, I am sure, the number of bounces they have achieved. Please congratulate your child and help them collect their sponsorships. All money raised will help to buy more books for the school library for the children to enjoy at school and home.
Last week year 1 visited Mary Arden's Farm and this week reception visited Ryton Pools. Both year groups had a fantastic time and represented the school well. We really value this type of memorable learning and hope you do too. Thank you to all the parents/carers who supported both trips - we cannot run these without you and hope you enjoyed the experience. If you have not yet paid for your child's trip, it is not too late, please do so asap.
This week our local schools football tournament has taken place, it was lovely to welcome children from different schools and encourage respectful competition amongst the children. The children from year 2 who represented our school, did themselves proud.
Sports Day
Next week is Sports day and the letter with timings has been sent out to you again, as a reminder. The weather forecast is looking good - 21 degrees and sun with some cloud. We will still confirm on Wednesday 21st May whether Sports day is going ahead - so please look out for this message.
Private fostering
We have been asked by Warwickshire County Council to share information (sent to you by email) on what private fostering means and what you do if you suspect a child is being privately fostered. This forms part of our duty to safeguard all children.
The Wild area
We are currently vamping the area next to the back playground to open this up as an OPAL quiet area with sand, construction, reading, a chill out area and other activities. We are looking for recommendations of local companies that could help clear the area. If you know anyone or indeed you have these skills, please contact the office on admin2326@welearn365.com
